Creative Technology Director role

Justin Looper (he/him) is creative technologist based in Boston. Leveraging technology as a refractive layer, Justin explores how we sense, interact with, and perceive our environments. Using projection mapping, LED mapping, spatial sound, and haptic feedback, he creates installations that are immersive and interactive. In collaboration with Nelly Kate, Kyle Keane, Seth Riskin, and other creative researchers affiliated with MIT Spatial Sound Lab, Justin explores ways to expand the possibilities for technology across multi-sensory access-based media. His ongoing collaboration with Nelly Kate relates to the phenomenology of access; together they work to express sound through cymatics, vibration, and open captions.
